Symptoms of osteoporosis

  • Stooped posture

What you can do to avoid osteoporosis

  • Stop smoking
  • Limit alcohol consumption
  • Get adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D from the food you eat
  • Exercise

  • Think you have a broken bone
  • Notice a deformity after a fall
  • Have sudden, severe pain when bearing weight
  • Trouble moving part of your body
