Athletic Training
Licensed athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity. As part of a health care team, Prevea licensed athletic trainers work in cooperation with board-certified orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists and occupational therapists to give clients the best care.
The team is available to assist with injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement at the Prevea Sports Medicine clinic. In addition, these health specialists work on-site at seven local high schools, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and St. Norbert College to oversee the safety of all high school and college athletes throughout the year.
Prevea's team of licensed athletic trainers believes that proper conditioning will help reduce injury and keep athletes on the field. They focus on athletes' mechanics and technique during exercises to ensure optimal performance.
Prevea Athletic Training services are available at the Prevea Ashwaubenon Health Center, located at 760 Pilgrim Way in Green Bay.
